This was my first time doing a facial mask with 2 pieces, but I liked it a lot! I was able to get a better fit to my face with the 2 separate halves. I did end up taking some scissors to make a few slits on the edges in some areas where it wasn't laying flat (point of my chin, around eyes & nose). This wasn't really necessary, but I figured that I'd do it since it was a quick and easy way to get an even tighter fit.I chose to watch TV while doing this -- tip, don't pick anything too funny! Laughing or talking too much will cause your face to move around a lot which will also lift the mask away from your skin. Also, be extra careful if you have long nails, because it's easy to nick the jelly stuff on the mask.The product page says you can do this as an overnight mask. If you wanted to do that, I'd suggest putting it on at least 1 hour, if not 2 hours, before you actually go to sleep. It was still pretty wet after an hour, although it was starting to turn translucent at that point and a little dry around the edges. I'd be concerned about getting stuff all over your pillow if you went to bed straight after putting it on, plus you might not get a tight fit to your face.After 2 hours, the mask really had turned completely clear, except for the parts where the two pieces of the mask were overlapped. Peeling it off was easy, not painful at all, even in the parts where I had gotten some hair stuck in it. I also didn't notice any of my eyebrow hairs in the mask either so it was gentle enough that it won't pull those out even though they get completely covered.My skin felt really smooth and dewy, soft to the touch. There is a bit of a residue at first, but it does get absorbed pretty quickly, not sticky at all. There is a gentle scent to these masks, but neither me nor my sister (who also did a mask with me) could place what the smell is. It's not very strong though and I'd only catch a momentary whiff of it every once in a while after putting these on our faces.I'm still pretty acne prone in my 30s, so it's not uncommon for me to have more-than-usual new pimples the day after doing a facial mask, but I didn't have that at all with this mask! Despite how odd this mask looks, even more so than the more common sheet facial masks, I really liked this a lot and will get more to do in the future. They're just so much more expensive than other facial masks so they'll have to be for special occasions.
